African American Museum and Library at Oakland. Located in Oaklands historic Greene Library, AAMLOs archive and museum focuses on the discovery, preservation, interpretation and sharing of historical and cultural experiences of African Americans in California and the West.

Alameda County Historical Society. A membership organization that organizes field trips, publishes a quarterly newsletter and booklets, hosts dinners with speaker, and sponsors historical plaques—all relating to Alameda County history—and helps preserve the Joaquin Miller Abbey in the Oakland Hills.

California Historical Society The San Francisco-based nonprofit is home to an extensive collection of manuscripts, maps, posters, printed ephemera, books, and pamphlets relating to the states history. The Society also mounts exhibits, and publishes the journal, California History.

East Bay Hills Project A website, researched and produced by Stuart Swiedler, that describes through historical photographs and descriptions the development of the East Bay hills, with a focus on the Rockridge and Montclair districts of Oakland where the Sacramento Northern Railway once ran. email: eastbayhillsproject@gmail.com

Oakland North Oakland North is an independent news site focused on the city of Oakland, California. Based at the University of California, Berkeley, Journalism School, it functions as a news lab for student reporters and as a news source for the Oakland community.

Oakland Tool Lending Library The Oakland Tool Lending Library currently offers over 5,000 tools available for loan, as well as books and how-to videos and DVDs. The tools can be used for a variety of purposes, including home improvement, remodeling and repairs, gardening and landscaping and seismic retrofit. This is a free service to Oakland, Emeryville, and Piedmont residents and property owners.

Our community-based program includes youth from all over the City of Oakland. We thrive on a diverse community environment teaching life skills and leadership in a fun hands-on environment.

Temescal Arts Center TAC is home to: TACmusic:: - supporting the experimental and creative music community of Oakland Dabke with Us! - program of Palestinian folkdance, music, and community building. Arab.AMP - platform supporting experimental live art, music, and ideas from the SWANA Diaspora and our allied BIPOC communities. TAC also operates as a subsidized rental space to hundreds of Bay Area artists, musicians, healers, educators and activists, prioritizing service and access for BIPOC and LGBTQI+ communities to which we belong. We are a sanctuary space.

Temescal Telegraph Business Improvement District In 2014, commercial and residential property owners along Telegraph Avenue and adjoining areas voted to renew the existing special benefits assessment district along Telegraph Avenue from 40th to 66th Street (Berkeley border), including small portions of Shattuck Avenue, 51st Street, Claremont Avenue, and also Children's Hospital, and also to expand the district to include Telegraph from 40th to West MacArthur, and 40th St from MacArthur BART to Broadway. This is known as the Temescal/Telegraph Business Improvement District ("Temescal Telegraph BID"). The BID is managed by the Temescal Telegraph Community Association(TTCA).
