The Avenue bar, with second-story apartments, at 4822 Telegraph Avenue (east side), Temescal district, Oakland, Calif. Opened in 2007, the Avenue previously had been Connally's, a bar that had operated for decades across the street at 4301 Telegraph Avenue. The Bird Kage cocktail lounge had opened at 4822 Telegraph Ave. in 1975.
