Context:
Cesare Orio also co-owned the Liberty Bakery on the southeast corner of Telegraph Avenue and 43rd Street in Temescal. His son-in-law, Stefano Persoglio, was his partner in that business. Orio earlier had operated The Original Italian and French Bakery in West Oakland. As a young man he had worked in the Bilger Quarry.
