Description:
The northeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Way (formerly Grove Street) and 53rd Street (looking northeasterly), Temescal district, Oakland, Calif. A large, one story brick building on this corner, at 5300 Grove Street, home of Bernardi Appliances and Furniture, was demolished in the 1960s when Grove Street was widened to accommodate the BART elevated right-of-way.
