Context:
The 1921 California Directory of Nurserymen and Others Licensed to Sell Nursery Stock listed 12 Sweet Cream Depots and Pasteurized Milk Plants in Oakland, four of which were in North Oakland. The Golden State Creamery, which also had facilities in San Leandro and Berkeley (it s first loction), housed its Traffic Department on Chestnut Street near Third Street in West Oakland.
